Types of Therapy We Offer

Our practice offers a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Each approach is carefully selected and personalized to address specific concerns and goals. Here are some of the types of therapy we provide:

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. Common goals of therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are hard to face alone. Individual therapy is also called therapy, psychotherapy, psychosocial therapy, talk therapy, and counseling.

Therapy can help people overcome obstacles to their well-being. It can increase positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem. People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth.

Couples Therapy

We have worked with couples counseling through our 7 years experience of being Marriage and Family therapists utilizing Emotion Focused Therapy and Family therapy approach. The focus on couples counseling is to understand how they are becoming a unity within the family, how the couple is adjusting and processing the different changes that they may encounter such as: working on emotional distancing / unavailability, communication effectiveness, reunification, managing a separation / co-parenting, restructuring goals and / or rules within a relationship.

We have worked with couples that have either lost the emotional connection (spark), infidelity, unresolved conflicts, changes in finances, changes in education, not feeling wanted or loved within the system. Being able to work through resentments, grudges, forgiveness, and finding the commitment that they promise to each other is important to reach a resolution to continue working and reaching out the couples goals to embraced their love and restore their
communication on a daily basis.

Family Therapy

We are a major advocate for family integration, self-advocacy, and using their strength to view their life as important. We use a strength based and client driven approach in therapy. Its very important to us to offer a safe and comfortable space for all of our clients. Our approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, polyvagal theory, narrative, grief, EMDR, client center approach, solution focus, and trauma focus therapy. We will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

We are bilingual (Spanish) and love working with the Hispanic community, especially children of immigrants that are having a hard time adjusting to a new culture or dealing with two different cultures.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. This type of therapy is widely available at a variety of locations including private therapeutic practices, hospitals, mental health clinics, and community centers.

Group therapy is sometimes used alone, but it is also commonly integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan that also includes individual therapy. We offer several types of group therapy including: Anger Management, Social Skills, DBT Skills, Nutrition Coaching, and Parenting Coaching

Christian-Based Counseling

Using God as an ultimate guide can help people prioritize what is most important in life and feel guided to make the changes needed to be live in alignment with God’s absolute, love, truth and guidance.

I believed in a holistic approach to view the individual as a whole person (body, mind and spirit). I am also a Jesus Christ believer and without his guidance and his word I would not be here at this moment.
